moneyStrands goes mobile – twice!

Used to be your financial data was sentenced to solitary confinement in many hard to navigate web sites each singing a different tune and sporting a different look. Well, would you care to say “No more!” with us? You can keep all your accounts with other sites and institutions but for your regular “Let’s check if any financial Gremlins have been sneaking up on me?” rituals you now have moneyStrands’ free mobile versions.

First off, staying true to our intent to keep improving our site we are happy to announce you can now access moneyStrands on your iPhone using our new native iPhone App. This first version requires that you have an existing registration with moneyStrands and currently let’s you:

  • See all your account balances on one screen
  • Drill down to the account level and see your transactions organized by date
  • Manipulate transaction categories, and assign your own tags
  • See your most recent budget status
  • Get a list of recent alerts as configurable from within the web app

More cool features and updates are on their way, but we are looking forward to hear back from you in the meanwhile. The app is totally free, and you can now find it in the iTunes Store. Once you install the app we welcome you to rate and write a review as you see fit!

We have not forgotten about those of you not using iPhones either. In fact, since our launch we have had our mobile web site. It is still alive and well ready to get the job done for you on any browser enabled smart phone. Simply type in ‘www.moneyStrands.com’ in your mobile browser, login with your moneyStrands credentials, and “Voila!” you have everything the web version has to offer optimized to be viewed on your mobile screen.

So, how about some potent financial fusion for the road? Yes, we thought so too!

moneyStrands is now open!

After a very informative private beta phase we are happy to have finally taken the critical step of opening up our registration to new users. This officially kicks off a new and exciting phase of our journey to help people better manage their financial lives.

We’d like to send a big “THANK YOU!” to all our private beta testers for their valuable feedback and patience all along. We know any online service is by definition a work-in-progress so admittedly we still have a long list of improvements that are being prioritized and scheduled for upcoming releases. Stay tuned in for frequent updates to the application.

For those of you looking to jump on the bandwagon you may want to download and check out the moneyStrands poster describing how it can complement your existing money management rituals no matter how perfect they may already be :)
