With Beta Records, because music really does matter

picture-1.pngThere are many things that make us love Beta Records. But clearly a big reason is their use of technology to help independent artists gain exposure.

Today we are pleased to announce that MyStrands has partnered with Beta Records to help their users and artists discover each other.

Beta Records is a ground-breaking grassroots music community that actively seeks out undiscovered talent and gives them exposure and opportunities that they may never otherwise have. For example, rather than relying on artists to solicit their music to the label, Beta literally hits the streets in the Beta Bus - a mobile recording facility that can record anywhere - in a campaign to search for talent in communities throughout the United States. More about them, here.

For those of us looking for more than just the popular stuff, Beta Records is the place to go and discover some great music talent.

This is excellent news as the Orange Innovation Contest is designed to showcase radical technological breakthrough and innovation. It is a competition for the ‘best of the best’ and approximately 60 companies competed for the award.

As you know, MyStrands Social Player is a music player for mobile devices with two main characteristics: it is a music discovery tool and a strong community builder. You can read more information and watch a video here.

Congratulations to Ferran Soler (left) and Joseto Rubio (right) and to the rest of the team who did not get a chance to go to Cape Canaveral!
