In the next few days and coming weeks we have several exciting events featuring our beloved partyStrands to make nightlife in the big apple just as glamorous and cool as ever!

1) First up: Feb 23rd, 10pm-4am at BLVD, the East Village’s/Lower East Side’s premier nightlife spot. In collaboration with BustamoveNYC partyStrands will be providing interactive entertainment for this high profile group of partygoers on BLVD’s 6 flat screens to jazz up the already sleek interior.

2) Feb 23rd, 10pm-4am, 49Grove. At the very same time on the other side of Manhattan, partygoers in the West Village will be enjoying their favorite Friday night house party with partyStrands as the newest addition to this underground smooth-as-blue velvet lounge.

3) Feb 25th, 8pm at Dohwa: I want to win not just be nominated! Live out your Academy Award dreams with us at Dohwa and the Annual Oscar Pool Party. Cast your $10 ballot in person or via fax to a house jackpot that will be distributed among the winners and losers of the star fanfest. partyStrands will be provide in-between-breaks music, vote session and tinseltown trivia. 4) Mondays from 10pm-4am, 49 Grove, the fantastic ladies from HungerForMoreEntertainment bring you their weekly Monday night Bottles Up parties with partyStrands at 49Grove. Featuring DJ Snap and DJ Uneek, what better way to ease into the week than with another party?

5) Thursday Fashion Night party brought to you by the haute-couture minds of Calvin Escada and company. The first kick-off party will take place on March 1st with partyStrands providing entertainment and music for our fashion themed event. You might not walk down the catwalk but maybe you’ll see that gorgeous face on the partyStrands picture display! Stay tuned…

A very productive and absolutely crazy week! 3GSM is a fantastic opportunity to meet vis-a-vis, and put a face to the person behind all those emails and conference calls. With the Congress being so immense, it just might be that the best opportunities to spend quality time with people take place outside the Congress itself, during the parties and evening events which can last late into the night.

To recap, here are Jane Kwak, Daniel Appelquist and Uri Levanon (faster than the speed of light) at MobileSundayBarcelona pre-3GSM meetup at Belchica Bar.

No doubt the best event this week was Mobile Monday Global Peer Awards 2007. Impeccably organized by Rudy de Waele, Caroline Lewko from the Wireless Industry Partnership did an excellent job as the master of ceremony keeping us intrigued with stories of buxom blondes and modest redheads… Winners: Plazes, RealEyes3D and MobileComplete, all quite impressive stuff.

Tuesday was yet another a busy day. Swedish Beers at Belchica, with Helen Keegan, a fantastic person to bring other people together.

German TV ZDF came to the party to get some partyStrands images for a feature this coming Sunday.

After finishing up with our Swedish Beers session, we were off to the Ericsson party, The Sensation Lounge at Catwalk, a trendy and upscale multi-sensory venue at the nightlife hub by the marina. I lost count at 1200 people. As part of the sensual experience, partyStrands was showcased on the 6 flat screens throughout the venue for added partygoers’ enjoyment.

On Wednesday, we kicked it up a notch at the MTV midnight party at Bar 13 in the stunning Plaza Real. T stands for Thursday and Tapas at the Cerveseria d’Or and fancy girlie drinks at Hotel Ohm. And as if we weren’t in denial of the wonder years gone by, we headed over to Mojito Bar for some mojitos…lots of them.

In a nutshell, the 3GSM Congress and events were downright intense. But since these 55,000 attendees work hard and play hard, it was a productive 3GSM and tons of fun. We met some really great people! Have a safe trip back.

Today Mark Baard writes a column at The Boston Globe about partyStrands. Song requests by mobile phone. Some party people are using their mobile phones to influence the music at their favorite nightspots.

Der Spiegel, Europe’s biggest and German’s most influential weekly magazine, had a great article about partyStrands in its online edition last Sunday February 4th.

Quatsche, Netz und Disko. Der Alltag von Jugendlichen ist häufig ein Spagat zwischen Online-Netzwerken, Handy-Interaktion und analoger Realität. Diese oft separaten Sphären will die Plattform PartyStrands verbinden, das MySpace-Prinzip wird in den Partykontext gehievt.

USA Today also had a nice story on partyStrands. Digital technology of partyStrands links real and virtual world partying.

How do technophiles fall in love? If a Corvallis company has anything to say about it, the answer could be partyStrands, the latest product from MyStrands, a local firm that uses patented algorithms to help online subscribers find music they’ll like.
