partyStrands in Paris

MoMoParis 1 year anniversary party was crowded, 400+ people enjoyed partyStrands’ Parisian debut, it has been a great night. Along with a short presentation and brief demo of partyStrands LIVE combined with other presentations about the advances in mobility by key speakers from Microsoft, Voluntis and the CRNS.

partyStrands had a demo station running where interested parties came and learned about partyStrands’ interactive entertainment service for the first time. This crowd got a first taste of this full and eyecatching interactive entertainment service and they learned to text a message and join the party or to send a text. A question we heard asked several times was, “Is partyStrands in Paris and/or the rest of France? Do you want to be?”

A full set of pictures of the evening is available at Flickr. More details including pictures are also availabe here at MobileMonday France partyStrands webpages. The French crowd was pretty impressed and fascinated by partyStrands’ very visual mobile-online-digital music-interactivty interface.

Tonight was the first night the mobile portal m.partyStrands.com was used as a new messaging mechanism using the mobile web. So the attendees had two ways of sending messages via handset, one using SMS, the other through a textbox from any mobile web browser.

partyStrands Mobile is really easy to navigate: you can see real time what music is been played in bars, so you can decide which venue to go to, based on the music that is playing. You can view also the bar’s info, location maps and pictures from the latest parties.

From here you seamlessly connect to the MyStrands mobile website and the MyStrands mobile application if you want to find friends, music buddies, and see real-time where your friends are. You can also play in your mobile, 30 secs previews of the songs played in the venues; get recommendations, tag songs and playlists etc etc. find out more about MyStrands and partyStrands mobile offerings here, http://www.mystrands.com/corp/mobile.vm

A very big thanks to MoMoParis for their invitation and a very happy 1st anniversary. Perhaps partyStrands can host the entertainment in future events at MoMoParis and continue its relationship with this great group of people. Definitely a promising stop on the partyStrands movement into Europe.

Aside from visiting the partyStrands.com/mmf page, there will soon be video content available that was recorded at the event itself through Vodkase and Silicon TV.

Vodkase videographers interviewed partyStranders Rudy de Waele and Jane Kwak. In addition, Silicon TV videotaped the presentations which will be available as a web broadcast later on, stay tuned for content updates here!
