Just wanted to give you an update about the recent MoMoNYC event where MyStrands showcased the Mobile Client and partyStrands this past Monday the 30th. Thank you to Stephen and David for their tremendous help and to the Samsung staff, especially J and Derek for their expert assistance. We also have the MoMoNYC team to thank for their hospitality.

The Samsung Experience is an exceptional space. It’s pretty damn cool I must say and it was a great opportunity to present partyStrands in a 63” flat screen to an audience of about 60 people. Nice!

partyStrands and the MyStrands Mobile client were both presented at this meetup. Each speaker only had about 10 minutes, and as first speaker, I tried to cover both demos but 10 minutes was simply not enough time to do justice to both products. Following, there was by Sanji Fernando, Portfolio Mgr of Widsets: Nokia Ventures , Larry Gardner CEO of CyberExtruder and Jason Cirillo, the Creative Director/Founding Partner Robotube.

After about 40 minutes of presentations (there was no Q&A from the audience), the group moved from the presentation area to the mixer area where we had already set up partyStrands to another large flat screen behind the “bar” (which is a display area for handsets). Almost immediately, people from different organizations came to learn more about what partyStrands was and how it worked. Among the interested groups, we spoke MX Telecom with whom we are discussing the possibility of using a temporary short code for the Tech Crunch Meetup 8 on Nov 16. Aside from the usual partyStrands and MyStrands ads, we ran a personalized MoMoNYC ad demonstrating how the animated ads can be catered to any event or purpose be it a bar, a liquor sponsor or organization.

David, Stephen and I spent the evening answering questions about partyStrands to interested parties. Stephen really enjoyed the interaction and interest. Here’s a great shot of him about to lift off from the enthusiasm…

The event was a great learning experience and particularly stirred interest in mobile short-code providers about how their platforms could be integrated into partyStrands’ current setup.
